Does Taking Propanol For Sleep Apnea Cause Difficulty To Breath?

I recently had endoscopy and was given propanol because I have problems due to sleep apnea. The procedure could not be completed because I stopped beathing and the endoscopy tube had to be removed. It left my throat raw and cut. Could this be the medication I was given that interfered with my breathing.ks
