Does Toenail Ripped Off Grow Back?

My toe nail (on my middle toe) has been bruised by the root for a few months now. It did not hurt whatsoever and it was not infected. Today it started to fall off so i ripped the rest off. I wanted to know if it will grow back normal and what i should do to take care of it?
