Does Tonsillitis Treatment Cause Delay In Periods?

Hi, is there any chance that having had tonsilitis in the same week that I was due to begin ovulating could have had an effect on my cycle? As in made my period late? Or could the meds to treat it have done this? Im taking amoxicillin solution as I couldnt swallow pills. Could the infection itself or the antibiotic be causing a loss of apetite which has been ongoing for almost 3 weeks now? Thanks
