Does Treatment For Hyperlipidaemia Help In Managing Diabetes?

One month ago my 14 hour fasting blood sugar was 249, my am bloods sugars have been 365, 338, 327 in the am, but 415,454 after a light dinner. My new doctor thinks that medicating me for hyperlipidemia will help manage my diabetes. I feel so listless all the time and thirsty.
