Does Vomiting, Diarrhea, Low Fever And Chills Indicate Sign Of Flu?

my husband has been sick for 2 days. started out vomiting with diarrhea, low fever, sweats, chills, no head or throat issues but has been sneezing more than usual. Very fatigued and weak. Could this be the flu even without a cough, sore throat, etc.? He's 62 years old and also has Hepatitis C with cirrhosis of the liver. He also has a sharp pain in his right lower leg, with lots of swelling, it's hot and tender to the touch.
