Does Walking Stick Help To Relieve The Pressure In Lower Back?

i have lower back injury, after a car crash, im on medication, anti imflammitries etc, I have had physio, and now going to the impact clinic, as they cant do any more for the pain, basically I would just like to know, will using a walking stick help to relieve some pressure, or make things worse?
