Dr. Andrew Rynne, I was prescribed Suboxone Film. Is this prescribed for pain? My concern is that 5 years ago I was given methodone for pain and I found it more worse and difficult to get off of the medication than the Oxymorphone and Oxycodone. If I start taking Suboxone film is it going to be similar to the Methadone Medication? Methadone was horrible to me when I stopped 100%. I am a 44 year old male who has had 39 plus surgeries including a reconstructive muscle reflap and been in hyperbaric treatment since 1989. It took 28 years for my ulcers to heal. In 07/2014 my wounds healed and the Wound care Doctor told me to be normal. I quit taking the 6 Oxymorphones + 6 Oxycodones per day. It was inhumane to me. I am just in bed now and want to have a life. Without serious pain medication I am pain crippled from the injury and worse from the surgeries that saved my left leg and my life as well. I was told at the age of 24 that I would be on Pain medications all my life. So every 12-`18 months I go cold turkey to let my body recover and cleanse. So I am now with a new Pain Management and trying to see what medications I need to be on so I can go to the park, just to walk 4 blocks with my family. Right now I am Pain Crippled for trying to cleanse my body and I would like a quality of life. last year on the 6 Oxymorphones and 6 Oxycodones I was able to fish 2 or 3 hours but was in worse pain even on those medications for taking my son fishing. What around the clock medication can I ask for around the clock and to be able to do activities again. While on the 6 and 6 I was able to function normally. the other combination that helped me was at 12 10/325 Norco + 2 30mgs of Opana daily. being bed written with an elevated life is no life.
