I've had a nasty cold, low grade fever, started with sniffles, dry cough, coughing up phlem, thick. This has lasted 9 days already and now my husband has it. He's diabetic. I'm more concerned about him and what to use OTC to control it. For myself I've used sugar free cough drops, Alka Seltzer Plus Cold, Tussin DM, each only giving temporary relief. There seems to be a lot of this going around in northern WI. Any advise would be appreciated.
