Embarrasing To Ask But I Am Bleeding From My Butt

Embarrasing to ask but i am bleeding from my butt cheek. I go to the bathroom very often, like 3 or 4 times a day. I don't know if I hurted myself or what. I see a stomach doctor and he gave this pills to control my bowel movement.donnatal, i've been taking them for a month. Could they cause bleeding?
