Ever Since I Had A Pacemaker Placed 6 Years Ago

Ever since I had a pacemaker placed 6 years ago I have had a cough. The pacemaker has been replaced and still have this cough. I never had the cough before the pacemaker and I have had sputum cultured a number of times but results were no growth. What can be done to improve the situation? Thanks
