Every Time I Sit On My Couch In My Apartment

Every time I sit on my couch in my apartment I feel itchy and usually develop a few little welts, can be anywhere, that look like mosquito bites. They're itchy and puff up. If I don't scratch them they go away but I always feel like there are bugs on me. I don't experience this anywhere else - just in my apartment. I haven't seen any bugs and I look very closely every day. Is it possible that my couch or even my apartment has some sort of infestation? If so, what do I do about it? I have a sofa cover that I bought to put over my couch but will that really do anything, besides cover it up? Do you have any suggestions? I would definitely appreciate it! Thank you!
