Everytime I Breath The Air Sort Of Gets Caught In Every Second Breath Or So And Causes Me To Make This Loud Noise

This has been going on for probably 2 years now. Like, everytime I breath the air sort of gets caught in every second breath or so and causes me to make this loud noise, that people even notice when they are beside me, its weird! I haven t seen a doctor about it yet, I just want to be sure first.
