Father In Aw Is In Hospital Where Nothing Can Be

Father in aw is in hospital where nothing can be done to reduce his risk of stroke we are in the process of getting him discharged for home hospice care. He now has blood clots in his testicle and they may need to operate so are not proceeding with discharge. At 80 having had at least 2 strokes, vascular dementia, an arrhythmic heart, diabetes, possible prostate issue and bone spurs/crumbling shoulder/cyst or abscess would operating be wise (they decided not to do either op to remove blockage for the stroke as they were too risky) Should we push for discharge as he would prefer to die at home or risk leaving him in hospital?
