First of all, thank you for your time to read about my problem and find a way to help me. I am a female, 23 years old.
It has now been 5 months that I have been experiencing this problem. In February this year I started feeling pain in the region of my left breast. At first I thought that it would go away. And it did, but only for a while. Then it would come back every few hours. The pain was mostly concentrated on the upper side of the left breast, in between the breast and the neck. The pain was still mild then, just annoying as it wouldn't go away.
My first thought was that it might be a strained muscle, but after several months the pain did not go away and I am not sure how that can be. As the pain was still there, I went for a check to the doctor and did an EKG test and everything turned out normal. The doctor also checked my breathing and did a live, surface inspection of the chest area and said everything seemed normal. I also checked my blood and my cholesterol levels were just a bit higher. All the rest seemed fine.
After that check(which was at the beginning of May), something out of the ordinary happened. I came home and I felt a sharp, really painful feeling under my left breast that wouldn't go away for 15-20 min. It almost felt like a cramp as I am not sure how else to describe it. During those 20min, the pain also went through my left arm and down my back. The pain went all over my left breast, so it was not directly under it but rather under, over and on the left side of the breast.
After that incident, the pain was gone for a few days for the first time in several months and I thought it had dissapeared. Unfortunately, it started getting back.
Sometimes, I even felt the same type of pain in my right breast, but a lot milder. Since the last 10 days the pain has changed - it is always there, just changing in intensity and it is definitely a burning type of sensation.
I would like to add that the pain is definitely not associated with physical activity or with any kind of movements, as I exercise in the morning and the pain does not always appear during moments of fatigue. It can change any time, without any particular reason and it is concentrated around the left breast and the feeling is as if the tissue is burning.
