For 3 Months After Definitive Dx Of MAC In 2015-2016--

For 3 months after definitive dx of MAC in 2015-2016-- an Infectious Disease Doctor treating me for Mycobacterium Complex (NTB/MAC/ no, i do not have HIV) prescribed high doses of Isoniazid three times a week along with Biaxin (correct med) and Rifampin (correct med to tx MAC)and i followed his instructions. His receptionist was not too swift (i am a retired RN) and gave me his notes-- which i copied, and he had changed them-- it's obvious. His practice insisted that he never gave me Isoniazid, but i'd kept the bottles-- am suffering severely with various ailments- severe pain upon eating anything- upper abdomen, stabbing, emanating pain to my back-- how long before ramifications, and what are the ramifications of taking this INCORRECT med are evident? What is the time frame... suffering from Malnourishment, no appetite, n/v, - did see another Doctor-- who changed it from Isoniazid to CORRECT med= Ethambutol (yes, i know they do Azithromycin too)-- was on protocol for the three CORRECT antibiotics for 19 months-- during which i tolerated these meds very badly... now forcing Ensure plus- World Trade Center Health Program pays for them (the MAC is Certified under Zadroga as 9/11 related-- i was a Red Cross Volunteer late afternoon 9/11- 9/17/2001 to help evacuate and rescue.). How much longer will i suffer, and ought i get biopsies of pancreas, stomach (have ulcers), etc via Upper Endoscopy? Severe pain, and desperate here... Did that Doctor over course of 3 mos giving me Isoniazid cause this? Finished protocol for MAC tx over a year ago, but am still in horrible shape... and cannot gain weight-- and in severe pain- as described above
