For A Couple Of Days, I've Had Intense Pain Come

For a couple of days, I've had intense pain come on in a matter of 5-10 minutes at the base of my head, right side of my neck, which feels pressure like, but passes in an hour. Not a muscle spasm or pull. Could it be caused by a reaction to food, etc.?
