For Almost A Week My Right Eye Has Felt Like

For almost a week my right eye has felt like there was a grit under upper eyelid. Frequent application of eye tears solution gave temporary relief. A few days ago I noticed several small red dots inside upper eyelid 5-8 mm from front of lid. Also some blood staining around eye in the morning. This afternoon I wiped inside of upper eyelid gently with a moistened Qtip to remove perceived grit. Blood flokwed for 10-15 sec. into my eye before stopping. Stopped now. I have High blood pressure - controlled. I had shingles on left side of face three years ago involving eye. Please advise.
