For How Long Should Brace And Boot Be Used After Non Displaced Fibular Fracture?

Nondisplaced fibular fracture just a little above ankle i think from body going around planted left ankle. Casted for 4 weeks and then given a boot and lace up brace. Boot + crutches for 2 weeks, now i'm using brace, how soon to be walking pain free? I'm at week 8 and can semi walk with just brace but still unsure. 20 yrs old female
