For My Science Class We Are Doing An Assessment On

For my science class we are doing an assessment on pathogens and I am really unsure on what one of the questions are for my disease I chose strep throat and in my assessment on of my questions said how does the pathogen which is my strep throat disease causes some of the symptoms of the disease, could you please help me with this?
