For reference, I am a 19 year old female, and my boyfriend is a 20 year old male. We are both in great shape physically, so I don't think any of this is due to that. I also have Mirena, and have had it for about 3 months, if that makes a difference.
About two weeks ago, I received news I had bacterial vaginosis. I did the 5 days of the metro gel, and 7 days of no sex. Intercourse now is extremely painful, upon insertion and during. It seems as if I can't get wet, and I am extremely inflamed down there afterwards. To add to this, before I knew I had or felt the symptoms of BV, my boyfriend's penis smelled horribly fishy. He is circumsized, and is very clean. He hasn't said anything to me about burning or itching, and he would if it did, so I don't think it's a yeast infection. Help please!! I have never experienced anything like this (I have had 8 sexual partners including him - he has had 4 including me). We both know we are STD free as we both just did a test for all STDs.
