For Some Time, Off And On, I Have Shooting Pain

For some time, off and on, I have shooting pain on the side of my right thigh, for a year or more but goes away for long periods. In the last week or two I have a fiery numbness that shoots from my shoulder to my elbow and into my middle finger and I feel kind of weak. Associated it with workout and possibly pinched nerve. Should I be concerned? 57 years old, female.
