For The Last 2 Weeks I Have Had A Pain

For the last 2 weeks I have had a pain at the site of the spleen -- upper left hand corner of the stomach area. At first it felt like a "stitch" you sometimes get in your muscle but now it is becoming slight more intense. I am 67 years old and lead a relatively healthy life. It is looking more like an enlarged spleen. When I am active and walking around the pain is very faint but when I wake up in the morning and am laying in bed it is more intense and concerning, Should I have a biopsy for cancer? What do people do for an enlarged spleen in its beginning stages?
