For The Last Month Or Two, I Keep Getting This

For the last month or two, I keep getting this sharp shooting pain in my front upper leg. It kinda grabs sometimes when I am walking. Seems to be getting more frequent. It's pretty painful but stops as soon as I stop walking. For the first time last night, it started hurting while I was sleeping. Felt like I would lay on ly leg wrong or move my leg wrong. Kept waking me up.
