For The Past 2 Weeks I Have Had An Increased

For the past 2 weeks I have had an increased number of bowel movements along with either slimy discharge or simply extremely runny. In both cases there is a lot of gas. Is this something that I should be concerned with or a common bacterial infection that will pass. Not sure that it matters but at about the same time I started to experience these bowel complications I also may have bruised a rib.
