For The Past Several Days I Have Had Red Streaks

For the past several days I have had red streaks across my neck that are itchy. Even though I avoid scratching and rubbing them, the amount of streaks has increased. The streaks are vertical and horizontal and a little splotchy. How long should I wait before seeking an exam?
