For The Past Week And A Half I Have Been

For the past week and a half I have been having a steady brown vaginal discharge that has been changing in smell. One day it smelled almost like vinegar and today it smells like metal. I'm not due to have my period any time soon and am wondering what could be the cause for this discharge.
