For The Past Year I've Experienced Tingling And Numbness In

For the past year I've experienced tingling and numbness in my left hip which radiates down the outer thigh and to my inner knee. It's worse after sitting for a period of time and seems better after exercise. I went to my GP and he told me to see a chiropractor who didn't help me after multiple visits. I'm thinking it may be a pinched nerve. What type of specialist, if any, do I need to see?
