Friday Before Christmas I Woke Up With Stiff Neck, Left

Friday before Christmas i woke up with stiff neck, left side, hurt to swallow but not like a sore throat-like a sore muscle. throughout the day my throat did get sore, I took Zicam later and did end up with mild cold. Neck is still very sore and getting worse, pain now radiating down to clavicle. I did see my GP few years ago for sore neck- same side, he prescribed Methocarbamol, which did help. Should I get a refill or should I be concerned that something else is going on? after lunch today it was really painful, hard to swallow, I did a few pressure points on my neck and it got a little better.
