From Time To Time My Hands Start Itching Terribly, Then

From time to time my hands start itching terribly, then the more I itch them th more they swell up to the point I can't even make a fist. This lasts for 2 to 3 days then goes away only to return a few to several days later. Usually it's just one hand and fingers or even just a part of the hand and one or two fingers per instance.
