Good Afternoon, I Am A 59 Year Old Female. Last

Good Afternoon, I am a 59 year old female. Last Friday I saw a physician for a persistent deep cough. He diagnosed bronchitis and prescribed azithromycin, benzonatate 100 mg 3x a day and an albuterol sulfate inhaler. I finished the azithromycin a couple of nights ago and my cough is infrequent. The benzonatate script indicates 3x a day for 10 days. Is there a therapeutic value in continuing the med for 10 days when the cough has all but subsided? Thank you.
