Good Afternoon; I Am Having A Total Hip Replacement On

Good afternoon;

I am having a total hip replacement on Tuesday morning and was told not to even drink water 12 hours before the procedure. I have a problem at night with acid and heartburn and usually take a couple of antacid in the middle of the night to calm the pain so I can sleep--

Should I switch and take a Zantac or Prilosec or some other 12 hours OTC to prevent this from happening or would that be unwise???

Thank you for your time; Barn
