Good day.
I am 47yrs old and my girlfriend the same age.
She has a few small lesions of HPV on her perineum, close to and on her labia. The biggest +-3mm diameter.
I also had a few and successfully treated them with Aldara cream. I am a MD myself, and gynaecology is not near my speciality.
I am not comfortable in treating her lesions with Aldara alone, and some are on the labia and I am concerned about sensitivity. Is there a safe "at home" treatment available for her situation? As this is a sensitive area, cautery/freeze is not an option. (my opinion only)
What oral treatment is advised, possibly as combination with local?
My main concern however is the association with cervix CA and would like it sorted out ASAP.
She saw her gynaecologist around 5/12 ago who did not mention anything, but she is also too shy to ask her about it.
I understand that she should see her gyne for internal examination and smear and will motivate her to do such, but would like to make it easier in starting treatment for the visible lesions.
Your kind advice would he highly appreciated.
