Good Day, I'm An Author And I'm Wanting To Write

Good day, I'm an author and I'm wanting to write a novel about an author that becomes her character and thinks people around her are part of her life though some of them she just met. I wanted to know if there was a mental illness like this? And if so, could you tell me more about it? I don't want to give people the wrong idea about the illness. Thank you.
