Good Evening. I Am A Disabled Persian Gulf War Veteran.

Good evening. I am a disabled Persian Gulf War Veteran. I had a PET scan done at a non VA facility because VA hospitals will pay for it, but do not perform these tests. Anyway the reason I had it done is because I told my primary physician that I was having night sweats that were soaking my pillow and that I have difficulty putting on weight. So I had an ultrasound performed which showed enlarged lymph nodes. The pet scan results were negative for any cancer anywhere in the body. However now the Doctor from the VA sends me a letter indicating that it shows that I have an infection in my food pipe. So basically my question is could this have been the culprit for the night sweats and enlarged lymph nodes? Also the Doctor will be mailing me antibiotics to take for 14 days. Thank you very much. Juan Marin.
