Good Evening, I Have Been Diagnosed With NAFLD For Awhile

Good evening, I have been diagnosed with NAFLD for awhile my liver function assessments have been reportedly stable. The liver enzyme lab results come back in the normal range. However, on my most recent ultrasound "noted some fatty sparing adjacent to the gallbladder" because of this they have requested I follow up in 6 months rather than the typically annual follow up. I am not sure what the fatty sparing means.
