Good Morning I Have A DVT In My Leg And

Good morning I have a DVT in my leg and am being treated with blood thinners my question relates to the red and sore looking skin on the lower part of the leg . the leg was very swollen and has since gone down a fair bit it has a bit of shape around the calf . The "sore" area it doesnt feel sore it just looks sore has become flaky and 2 spot look like they may break open at some point .i understand the lack of oxygenated blood to the area wont be helping Can I put anything on the flaky skin or not is it better left alone.
