Goodmorning. I Am In My 14th Day With Bells Palsy

Goodmorning. I am in my 14th day with Bells Palsy and am experiencing very painful stabling pains in my ear. They are bad enough to cause me to take pain killers to allow me to sleep at night. Is this normal for this illness or do I need to see my doctor again. I was presecribed an 8 day course of Prednisone but as yet there has been no improvement in my condition.
