Got Some Pain Like A Needle In My Rectum Deep

Got some pain like a needle in my rectum deep in for about a month now on and off. first thought it was on the prostate, but i don't think it is as I checked it with my finger the prostate was smooth and it got sore afterwards and it was a different pain. Can it be an internal haemorrhoid or something else? thanks
