Greetings... I Have Been Experiencing Numbness In Left Face Ear

I have been experiencing numbness in left face ear and below, there seems to be some swelling below jaw line on left side, left shoulder is numb and hurts to touch.. I do have diabetes not exactly sure which one.. but I do shots.. This has happened before.. My husband is concerned, but I do sleep on my left side all of the time .. this has happened before but is usually gone the next day.. perhaps I just fell asleep in a bad position, I awoke during the night with screaming knee pain and again this morning but that went away... So?
