Greetings. Yesterday I Had A Nickel Size Spot Of Blood

Greetings. Yesterday I had a nickel size spot of blood from my rectum on my underwear. The spot was bright red. Today in my very soft bowel was a large amount of bright red blood. I will be going to doctor asap but in the meantime, could fissure produce alot of blood like I am seeing?
