HI, I Am Having Problems With Friction Between My Eyelid

HI, I am having problems with friction between my eyelid and surface of the eye(conjunctiva?). It really hurts and this has been the third day. Application of eye drops has not been alleviating it. I thought this was the case with dry eyes (happened thrice) but every time it just took less than an hour to recover, not 3 days.
