HI, I Have Moderate To Severe Pain In Both Hips

HI, I have moderate to severe pain in both hips for about 6 years. I had herniated dis in L4-L5 S1 and herniated disc in my neck. I've had two fusions, cervical and lumbar in the past 12 months. I thought after the lumbar fusion my hip pain would go away, but it hasn't. My spine surgeon says it is bursitis, I also had steroid injections in both hips 11 months ago. But the pain came back in two weeks. I can't believe bursitis can be so painful. I've tried physical therapy, acupuncture, anti imflammatory pills this only a temporary fix. I am 53 years young and not overweight. I walk and swim often. I am thinking about going to orthopedic hip doctor for further testing. I appreciate any suggestions. thank you.
