HI, Ok on June 20th I was stung by a wasp. Took 10mg hydroxyzine and hydrocodon-acetapphen 7.5. 2 hrs after sting. 4 hrs later I couldn't hear people around me, broke out in a sweat, tightness in throat, difficulty breathing. Rushed to ER given Epipen, Pepcid and something else, sent home with same issues 3 hrs later and told I would be fine. Prescribed 50 mg tabs of Prednisone to take 1 daily for 5 days. I awoke the next morning just 5 hrs ager release and couldn't feel my forearms or calves. Figured I was still having an allergic reaction took 50 mg of benadryl as they told me to do. Awoke several hrs later still with same problems other than numbness. Monday night just 2 days later I was stung again. Was told to take 50 mg and if I had breathing difficulties to do Epi Pen and return to ER. I did not need to do anything other than Benadryl. Ive been to my regular dr who added Pepcid and Zyrtec. Have had a scan to see throat is clear. Have seen an allergist who then prescribed more prednisone 10mg 2, 2x a day and upped the Pepcid to 2 a day and sent me home with 2 inhalers. He said I would feel better 2 days ago. Nothing has changed. Have had the same issues now for 12 days. I awake in the mornings with the slight tightness, and congestion in the throat, legs are weak but as I move about and talk more everything worsens and Im back in bed. Nothing seems to help. Could there be something else going on or can an allergic reaction last 12 days without any relief?
