HI! So I Have A Friend Who Went To Ecuador

HI! So I have a friend who went to Ecuador and he was told to wear shoes in the shower but he still got some sort of foot virus. He has had it for 2 ish years and it really hasn't gotten any better. Its between his toes and they look like tons of ripped open blisters with deep cracks. They bleed in the shower and are open wounds and we have no clue what it is.
