HI all, Hope you are all doing fine. I have some queries and I will be pleased if they can be answered through your expert guidance.
I had a seizure (in 2013-- total of 3; 2015-- total of 2) and I am on Encorate Chrono (it contains sodium valproate i think) 500mg daily twice a day. ( one in the morning and one in the night) I am also bit hefty and very tall and the medication was prescribed keeping these parameters in mind. Health-wise, I am doing okay.
I had asked the doctor and he said Encorate Chrono 500mg was also prescribed for mood stabilizer and mood swings (to keep them in check). I sometimes having tend to get depressed a bit , and also having continuous thoughts. (Bi-polar, not sure)
During my teenage, I also suffered from bit moderate to severe OCD (took Fluxoetine, i later discontinued) and through self-counselling and ERP Therapy I was able to reduce it to moderate levels.
India, in 2016 unveiled a PWD act (chronic neurological conditions or mental illness-- OCD, Bi-polar are mentioned) and as per Indian Psychiatry Board/ Association (IDEAS score 40+ --> moderate (based on assessment for me)), can i ask/claim a PWD certificate under mental illness or chronic neurological condition/mental illness?
I tend to have mood swings, racing thoughts, but I don't display extreme anger etc.
Sorry about the question, but if discussed and assessed by a competent psychiatric government doctor, (is my chance of IDEAS score greater than 40 --> moderate illness, despite using anti-epilepsy medicine and bipolar medicine for last 8 years, is high?
What are my chances of getting a PWD certificate since I have symptoms and using medication pertaining to the disorder/ illness
Thanks and Regards
