HI, If My One Year Old Granddaughter Grabs My Lip

HI, if my one year old granddaughter grabs my lip or puts her fingers into my mouth, is this something that her mother should freak out about and yell at the baby and me, calling me "gross", and then wiping the babys hands with a wet wipe? yet when the dog licks her hands and face, or she puts her toys into her mouth that have been on the dirty carpet or floor, she does nothing? She says that dogs are ok, but humans, (me) are gross. Just wondering if a finger or two in my mouth is something to panic over. I surely dont want to harm my only grandchild. Not sure about the dog being cleaner than me......thank you for your professional advice.
