HI My Fiance Has Been On Fluoxetine For 10 Years.

HI my fiance has been on fluoxetine for 10 years. Her depression seems to be getting worse recently. is it possible for the positive effects of fluoxetine to stop working? and if so what would be a reccommend anti depressant to take in its place?
