Had 3 Dental Implants That Failed Due To Bone Loss

Had 3 dental implants that failed due to bone loss from chemotherapy approximately 2 1/2 years ago. I had them removed, then bone graft, sinus lift and new implants installed about 18months ago. One of the implants fell out and had to be re-installed within the past 6 months. About 3 months ago that side of my face swelled up and a hard mass developed. They opened and irrigated and cut off a puss bubble (claimed to be superficial) and a ton of antibiotics the mass went down quite a bit. 2 weeks ago the mass re-appeared. I can barely smile on that side, the mass is interfering when I smile, aside from the fact my jaw gets stuck opened and/or closed several times on a daily basis. I went back and now the Dr doesn't know what it is, he claims the inside looks fine, the sinus looks fine. He thought possibly it was the tip of the implant showing on the outside of my face (now that most of the swelling has subsided. I go back tomorrow for a last follow up, and at last weeks appointment he suggested just to go ahead and have the dentist start the crown portion (different dr). My concern is paying $5000 to the dentist to only have to remove them due to the mass. I can't lay on that side of my face, and the left side of my face looks like I have a golf ball in my cheek. I can't even open my mouth far enough to see the new crowns that are supposed to go in. The whole reason for this was to be able to smile and not see missing teeth. Now it seems pointless as I can't open that side any further than my canine without the mouth open manually. I would never had opted for replacement had I known my face would be so distorted. Should I be able to see the implant tip protruding from my face? It feels way to large to be a tip, let alone an entire implant. Size of a golf ball and looks horrible, is this normal?
