Had A Medical Abortion In February And Period Hasn't Fully

Had a medical abortion in February and period hasn't fully come back to normal. I had sex last week and next day had spotting which lasted a few days then turned into light period. Yesterday it went heavy and smelt bad and now it still smells but it's light again. I have not had any cramping which is odd for me. What does this mean?
