Had An Endoscopy This Past Friday. When I Woke Up

Had an endoscopy this past Friday. When I woke up in recovery I woke up with a huge swollen bottom lip. Very bruised and several cuts on the inside of my bottom lip. It is very numb but extremely painful at the same time. The numbness runs from bottom lip to my chin. Is this normal? How long should the numbness last?
